Sales and Technical Support

Sales Director

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Sales Director uses their expertise to implement the strategic sales plan. The Director is committed to the development of their internal sales team of nine (9) employees and to maintaining good business relationships with manufacturing agents in Canada and the United States.

The mandate:

  • Implement the strategic sales plan in order to reach the targets for all the company’s markets (Quebec, Canada and the United States)
  • Supervise, mobilize and ensure the development and performance of the sales team composed of Charging Specialists, Technical Advisors and manufacturing agents 
  • Generate business opportunities in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Travel throughout the territory to meet with customers in person and make presentations that articulate the value proposition of the products, solutions and services offered
  • Strategically position the company with electrical engineering and construction firms
  • Maintain strategic accounts (electrical distributors) to exceed expectations for revenue, retention, growth, profitability and customer satisfaction

Inside Sales Representative

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Inside Sales Representative plays a central role in generating leads for the Canadian market. His/her job is to generate business opportunities with a clientele of electricians, electrical distributors and real estate developers. He/she works in collaboration with the sales team to achieve common objectives for the department.

The mandate:

  • Analyze databases and conduct research to find key contacts to develop new business opportunities
  • Make prospecting calls, follow-ups and e-mails
  • Analyze the needs of potential customers and present the company’s product offering 
  • Maintain good relations with potential clients
  • Plan meetings for the sales team with potential clients/partners and document sales files
  • Participate in various representation or promotional events
  • Improve and maintain customer information in the CRM  
  • Conduct strategic monitoring of the electric vehicle charging field in order to develop a good knowledge of the competition

Technical Advisor

Under the supervision of the Sales Director, the Technical Advisor is responsible for supporting customers (electrical contractors, condo boards, individuals, etc.) in all technical aspects related to the installation and operation of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. He/she works with the sales team to provide high-quality technical support and thus participate in achieving common objectives for the department.

The mandate:

  • Answer incoming calls related to technical support requests
  • Identify needs and provide information and support
  • Perform troubleshooting and solution finding
  • Simplify technical information for various types of clients
  • Ensure a transfer of knowledge to the clientele and the different partners
  • Ensure after-sales follow-up and document customer files
  • Participate in activities related to the company's internal sales (estimation, project coordination, etc.)
  • Improve and keep up to date customer information in the CRM
Required qulifications:

  • Electrical training (required)
  • Experience in customer service
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English (Quebec, Canada and United States customers)
  • Knowledge of a customer relationship management (CRM) software, an asset
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite and standard office softwares

Engineering

Electronic Design Intern

Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the Design Intern will be invited to collaborate with our experienced engineers to contribute to the development and design of innovative electronic circuits. You will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field of electronic design. This internship will allow you to deepen your understanding of electronic product development processes and contribute to exciting projects within our company.

You will work with the RVE team and its subcontractors in a SCRUM / Agile approach to deliver a high quality customer experience and help achieve common goals for the department.

The mandate:

As a digital and analog electronic design intern in the R&D team, your main responsibilities will involve all stages of the electronic board lifecycle, from architecture and design through rapid prototyping and production.

  • Collaborate with the product development team to design and develop electronic circuits using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as Altium Designer or KiCad.
  • Participate in the design and simulation of electronic circuits, including selection of appropriate components, modeling and simulation of circuits to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform tests and measurements on electronic circuit prototypes, analyze results and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as the production team and the test team, to ensure the consistency and quality of electronic designs.
  • Follow good electronic design practices, including safety standards, current regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in and facilitate PCB and automated test bench design reviews.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and present progress reports at various stages.
  • Contribute to the research and development of new technologies for electronic products.
Required qualifications:

  • Student in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or related field
  • Stage 3 – 4 – 5
  • Knowledge of basic electronic concepts, commonly used electronic components and circuit design principles
  • Proficiency in electronic CAD tools such as Altium Designer or KiCad (hands-on experience is an asset)
  • Ability to interpret and analyze electronic schematics, and understand technical specifications
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Conditions:

  • Internship duration: 4 or 8 months with the possibility of continuing on a part-time basis during your studies
  • Location: Laval, with the possibility of remote working up to 3 days a week

Automated Test Designer

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Automated Test Designer will play a key role in the development of complex products and systems. He/she will be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated tests to assess the quality and reliability of hardware and software components of RVE’s electric vehicle energy management systems.

He/she will work with the RVE team in a SCRUM / Agile environment to deliver a high quality and reliable product, and thus contribute to the achievement of common goals for the department.

The mandate:

  • Automated test design: design test scenarios and develop automation scripts to test embedded hardware/software functionality. Work closely with development teams to understand system requirements and specifications.
  • Development of test frameworks: contribute to the creation and improvement of automated test frameworks, using appropriate tools and programming languages such as Python or C++. Develop reusable test libraries to speed up the testing process.
  • Test execution and results analysis: Ensure the regular execution of automated tests on embedded hardware/software components. Analyze test results, identify problems and anomalies, and work with the development team to resolve quality issues.
  • Collaboration with development teams: Work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers and other members of the development team to understand project requirements, test new features and resolve quality issues.
  • Test documentation: Write detailed test reports, documenting test results, any problems identified and corrective actions taken. Contribute to the creation of guides and procedures to facilitate future testing.
  • Participate in the improvement of software development processes and the implementation of best practices with the R&D team.
  • Be the internal reference for all aspects of testing and test automation.

  • Understanding of communication protocols and standards associated with embedded systems
  • Ability to analyze test results, identify problems and work closely with development teams to resolve them

Front-End Designer

Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the Front-End Designer is responsible for the design and implementation of the configuration and monitoring platform for the electric vehicle energy management sytems.

The Front-End Designer works in conjunction with the RVE team and its subcontractors in a SCRUM / Agile context to deliver a high-quality customer experience and thus participate in achieving common objectives for the department.

The mandate:

  • Contribute to the development of the platform’s user experience (UI/UX)
  • Develop the Front-End interface of the RVE Cloud platform
  • Develop the local configuration interface for RVE products
  • Participate in improving software development processes and implementing best practices with the R&D team.
  • Be the in-house reference for all aspects of the product’s user interfaces

In order to support its significant growth, RVE is looking for its future Human Resources and Organizational Development Consultant.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the HR & OD Consultant plays a central role in managing change in a context of rapid growth as well as internal communications. He will use his expertise to take charge of all activities related to human resources management, including skills development, performance management, staffing, occupational health and safety, compensation and benefits, as well as the administrative management of operational HR processes.
